HoverTech Battle FX and Target FX

HoverTech Battle FX and Target FX are two flying toys within the HoverTech brand. All HoverTech products utilize patented Rehco LLC auto-hover technology. Both Battle FX and Target FX are sold with foam dart blasters, and act as kid-responsive flying targets for indoor play. Both Target FX and Battle FX were invented and developed by Top Secret Toys (a division of Rehkemper Invention & Design LLC), and licensed by Blip Toys.

As an industrial designer / toy inventor at Rehkemper ID LLC, I took both Target FX and Battle FX from ideation to production via concept sketches, SolidWorks models, working prototypes, and tooled production pieces. Through collaboration with internal electrical engineers (and full in-house shop), I built full-scale, working prototypes to test functionality and overall design. I also worked closely with freelance package designers to develop the overall HoverTech brand and packaging look, as well the HoverTech logo. For the manufacturing of Battle FX and Target FX, I worked closely with our production partners to develop injection molded pieces, which could easily snap-together for simplified, in-factory assembly. I also worked with our production partners to ensure proper color matching between tooled parts and desired appearance.
